The Dvori Sv. Juraj, nestled in a field of lavender, rosemary, fig and olive trees, was used in the past to offer respite to field workers while working in the fields, a place where they could escape the hot Mediterranean sun or warm themselves in the winter with a glass of wine and eat good local cheese and pršut (smoked ham). Like many other Courts throughout Dalmatia, this one still lives the life of our ancestors, surrounded by pristine nature.
The throne of the
Island of Hvar
Situated in complete privacy at the top of Hvar, this unique retreat offers breathtaking sea views—on clear nights, even the lights of Italy can be seen. Surrounded by cypress, lavender, and rosemary, it’s a peaceful escape in untouched nature, just 35 minutes from Hvar town. The estate includes three connected houses (4 large bedrooms), huge pool, tennis (+ basketball) court and large outdoor dining area and lounge—perfect for families or groups seeking space, privacy, and shared moments as well as for an intimate romantic getaway.
The Dvor was built from Hvar grey stone, the same one used to build the hundred-year-old village Humac, only 3 km away. The old village is harmoniously situated on the throne of the Island of Hvar, in the center of a stone field and a sea of stillness surrounded by endemic plant varieties. It originally emerged as a separate hamlet in which general food staples were cultivated, the most important ingredients of the popular and healthy Mediterranean cuisine. Today, it continues the tradition of production of superior olive oil, wine, and spices.
Along with the ideal opportunities for jogging, bike excursions and long walks, but also laying by the pool, the Dvor Sv. Juraj also offers recreation activities with basketball, tennis court and bocce field.

One of the highlights of The Dvori Sv. Juraja is its private tennis court, where you can enjoy playing your favorite sport in a beautiful and serene environment. The tennis court is made of high-quality artificial grass with quartz sand, which provides a soft and comfortable surface for your feet and joints. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, you will find the tennis court suitable for your level and preferences.
Within the stone wall enclosed courtyards are the outdoor barbecue with a wood oven and large table for 12 people, outdoor relaxation area, a large swimming pool, tennis court. The main house, and two separate houses: barely a few meters from one another, are connected by a path, making a single unit. All the spaces are heated, equipped with new and antique furniture.
Court St. George is surrounded by fields of lavender, rosemary, and sage, creating a truly unique Mediterranean landscape. The gentle scent of lavender, complemented by the fresh aromas of rosemary and sage, brings a deep sense of calm to all who visit this unspoiled part of nature. Lavender has been valued for over 2,000 years, dating back to the ancient Greeks and Romans, who used its oils in baths and rituals, as well as for medicinal purposes. The prices are valid for stays of a minimum of 5 nights in July and August, and 4 nights from September to June.
For shorter stays, an additional surcharge applies (15% for 1 night less, 25% for 2 nights less, and 40% for 3 nights less).
Check-in is from 5:00 PM, and check-out is until 10:00 AM.
A 10% discount applies to all reservations longer than 7 nights.
Additional note
The estate is reached by car via a scenic route, with the final part of the road being unpaved, approximately 18 minutes from Jelsa and 35 minutes from Hvar Town. Due to its unique and private location, access is possible only by car. For your comfort, we are happy to arrange a private transfer service throughout your stay.
